Have you seen the edited version that will appear on TV?

I will be taping since it comes on during the time I am at work. But I can't wait to see it! I am so proud of you!

Wow, those are some pretty broad topics…education, America’s reputation in the world, Islam, the war, etc. Which topic did the show concentrate on the most?

I’ve got the DVD set to record the show and I look forward to watching it.

Silke, the show ended up focusing on education the most. My part is very small and I cannot vouche for my "performance". I was probably adaquate since I didn't have the opportunity to say as much as I would have liked..there were many guests, most bigger than me, so to speak.

Max, I have not seen the edited version yet. I know we recorded about an hour and a half worth of footage that had to be edited down to fit into an hour, commercials and all.

Thanks, Leticia, but I didn't do much. However, the next time I'll be more vocal.

Amy,they probably had your info up front. They shut you down FAST! How did you stand it with Montel sitting there defending Hugo Chavez??????

Ms., I'm still transient but I'll call you pronto. Thanks for posting the video!

It was very difficult to sit there with those folks. I wanted to butt in and speak my mind but also a lot was apparently edited out.

Frankly, the rhetoric was depressing. I tried to speak up on the Chavez crap and anti-Bush stuff but was battling to be heard.

More later...

Hi Amy,

You GO Girl! Great stuff. I wish the program was 90% you and 10% everybody else... durn idjits! It's tough doing TV shows like that, and you are to be commended for your bravery "above and beyond the call of duty". Especially considering who you were up against: Montel, Lou Dobbs, Jessie Jackson, head of the teachers' union... SHEESH! What a line-up! Did you get hazardous duty pay?

Thank You! ...for standing up for our values. Even if you were the token "MOM" (God, I wanted to punch Montel for that line). It seems that the other "Amy" on the show was on our side. Montel abused her too by calling her "girlfriend". What a LOW-LIFE!! Montel wouldn't appreciate being called "BOY". Why does he think he can get away with calling an intelligent, thoughtful blogger like yourself "MOM"? (Yes, I know you're a mom, but that's NOT why you were chosen to be on the show). And what gives him the right to call a black woman he doesn't even know "GIRLFRIEND"?

You shoulda called him a "NIGGER" and see how he responded to that... Just kidding!!

(:D) Proud to call you a friend,
Hawkeye

Hawkeye, I would never consider calling him "N". He did call me "darling", but that was before I ticked him off.

Segregation... right...it's a multi-racial program but they want to keep everyone in an equally crappy system. Its' about CHOICE. How come these people are in favor of giving my 13 year old condoms and abortions without parental consent but are against the a successful educational choice? I thought these people were pro-choice?
